Guardians of a treasure to be shared
In the heart of Tuscany, few kilometres from Santa Maria a Monte,
a pearl set in the spiral of its historic walls and streets that seem
to hug all its immense cultural and humanities wealth;
in a territory full of breathtaking scenery, the hills standing above
the incomparable beauty of the Tuscan countryside, contested for its strategic
position between Florence and Lucca and today in the province of Pisa;
where the poet Giosuè Carducci was inspired in his youth for some of his memorable works;
the famous Galilei family left indelible traces of his passage with Vincent,
renowned lute player and composer precursor of Baroque music and his son Galileo known to mankind for his eternal and revolutionary contribution to science;
that popular devotion has contributed to the beatification of Diana Giuntini,
a young woman from a rich family who chose poverty to devote herself to poor people;
the Rosi family keeps intact for 40 years the traditional craftsmanship of production of salami,preserving the authentic and genuine flavor,
a treasure to be protected and to be shared universally.
History gave us the honour of spreading around the world the riches
of a unique region for its artistic and cultural heritage, landscape, food and wine.
